The United States is never going to be peaceful because we have too many jealous nations that want to get rid of us. If we were all laid back on a high, what do you think would happen if China, North Korea, Iran or Russia decided to make a...

"Large utility-scale renewable energy offers important economies of scale. In Denmark industrial-scale wind farms already supply 20 percent of the country's power; Germany and other European countries are close behind. The American Council on...
Wind can provide some of the energy we need. So can solar. And IF Democrats would desire to fund this I'd be all for it. But I want something in return. I want the profits to go to the government. Look at all the big dams. The government built...
I personally think that wind farms are a huge big blot on the landscape.
It has been proved in Denmark and just recently in my home county of Fife that they are not as economical as they are made out to be.

Interesting choices that you've given. I'd agree that solar is much more logical for many areas. They have proven to be most useful in high density areas. However don't knock wind turbines. They will work wonderfully...in the correct...

Hydrogen isn't going to be the fuel of the future. Leaks would be impossible to stop and each car would be a mini bomb. Not what the soccer moms are looking to drive.

That's an interesting use of the extra energy on especially windy days. However, considering that it takes a ton of energy for the electrolysis process to separate hydrogen from water, it can't be producing a whole lot of hydrogen.

Sometimes it seems Denmark’s primary goal in life is to make the U.S. feel environmentally inferior. I could offer a thousand examples of Americans worshiping at Denmark’s much-touted altar of energy enlightenment. But President Obama expressed it best on Earth Day, 2009, when he said, “Today, America produces less than 3 percent of our electric through renewable sources like wind and solar—less than 3 percent. Now, in comparison, Denmark produces almost 20 percent of their electricity through wind and power.” Shame on us!

In any event, in places like Denmark, wind turbines have become tourist attractions, a kind of public art. My bet is the same would happen on the Cape.
