How much does a barrel of oil cost today?

I am doing a science project on solar power vs. fossil fuel, and i need to answer how much a barrel of oil costs. Thanks so much!!

At the moment, oil is $69.67 per barrel. It changes hour-by-hour. If you want to get current information, oil prices are given on Yahoo Finance.

I'm in a lesson help me with my work please?!?!?

1) Find out if these energy resources are renewable or non renewable and make a table in your book:
Coal, Wave Power, Hydroelectric, Solar Power, Crude Oil, Biomass, Wave Power, Natural Gas.

2) Find out how energy gets into coal

There should be loads of suitable sites online - or try the library. I'd say try online first - type these subjects into the Search Bar - you'll find loads of helpful info there. Besides, if we helped you with your schoolwork, you'd never learn to do

Fossil fuels not answer; alternative sources there

U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield makes it obvious exactly who he represents with his comments in The Gleaner's front page article Thursday about seeking a 10th term in Congress.

Either he is ill-informed, uneducated or clearly duplicitous when he states fossil fuels are the most abundant resource we have and then claims "... there's not enough wind power or solar power in the world to meet even the demands of the United States." The currently available wind technology might not provide enough power for our national needs, but there is an unlimited supply of solar power, more than sufficient to meet the needs of every single person on this planet.

Over 30 years ago my father explained to me technology already existed to put geosynchronous satellites with solar-collecting panels in orbit to convert solar energy to microwaves and transmit it down to receiving stations to power the electric grid. Spain has already demonstrated cost effective technology using reflected solar power to generate steam for turbines.

Residential Solar Power – Solar Power for Homes | Power 4 Home

We have all felt the impact of rising fuel and energy costs, we have also all seen the devastating impact on the environment the extraction and use of fossil fuels has. For quite a few years now solar power for homes has been a much promoted alternative, the only problem is that it is so expensive to purchase and have installed, that is until now…

Residential solar power for homes has become a must if we are to free ourselves of the rising cost of traditional power resources such as fossil fuels. Solar power for homes has been with us for some time now, unfortunately the costs of taking it up have been prohibitive.

Residential solar power for homes is the simplest alternative energy installation we can preform on our homes. Easy to install and maintain (solar panels have a life span of around 30years) a residential solar power system will have you saving money for years to come.
