I'm building a small solar powered robot, and the motor runs from 1VDC to 9VDC. Will that small solar panel in a calculator do that?
The calculator cell will not produce enough voltage or amperage. If you go to radioshack they sell a $15 kit that has a solar cell in it capable of running your robot. They may also sell other solar cell (check your store).

i have a calculator with a solar panel what could i power with it? like could i hook it up to a psp even though it will take forever to charge? and how would i do this?
It wouldnt be worth your time really to try and hook it to a psp. You would have to build a circuit to match the voltage of the solar panel with the voltage of the psp.

I'm curious to know if the small solar panels on a calculator (ie TI-32) could produce a voltage similar to what is used in a single-use (disposable) camera, approximately 4V.
It isn't Volts that matter if you're trying to put the calculator solar panel on the camera. It would be the amps.
The calculator's solar panel will put out however many volts or very close to what the battery puts out.

well i tried both connected to a led but it just does not light up.
the voltage is around 2v and the amps are 0.3amps.
do i need a capacitor(if so which one) etc..

You can light the LED has 1.6 volts forward bias one. Do not use high power white led,it is 3 volts LED. You need to connect solar cell + to the anode of led.

Anyways, I've mounted it, ran the wire along the prepare and in through my window (drilled a ashamed fallacy below the window). Connectivity checks out competent and I get about 20-21v and the full sun hasn't even hit it yet. The only fixation is here though, this solar panel is meant as a seepage charging panel for car batteries and whatnot, and as such I only seem to be getting about 10-15ma (openly wtf). I've rigged up the gaming-table mostly like it was advantaged the solar lantern except longer/stronger wires. I have a strike on the peremptory contract for of the batt+ to the plank. I soldered some thicker wires to the SOL connections on the scantling. Now I've seen a few of these and some are rather simplistic hold sway over boards and some literally have a bit of circuitry to them. This one appears to have resistors to known limit the LED (would be adequate so I don't wallop it), however after following the traces on the room the led get's it's indubitable from that unprincipled transistor quirk with 5 legs on it (what is that a power regulator?) The fancy behind all of this here is that I can peradventure expect up my apartment with it or usb devices for warning, but to have that show up from a battery away of AA's (to travail as a buffer sorta-be obvious like a capacitor bank).
