That process could endanger groundwater and harm the environment, Miller said. If the DEC lifts a moratorium on hydrofracking, Gaines could be eyed by drilling companies, she said. The town should protect its groundwater, she urged the board.
Miller and resident Connie Mosher also said the current plan and zoning regulations do too little to shield residents from small-scale agricultural wind turbines. The town’s wind law was approved in 2008 and focused on large-scale turbines, a collection of turbines that tower more than 400 feet high. Those turbines are banned from the town.

I ordered this but although the two panels and mouting kit were present the packing was inadequate and well battered – being only very thin fibreboard for something weighing 60 pounds and no proper bubblewrap of panels. A corner of the packing had broken open. It would seem the charge controller and and inverter are missing. The panels seem OK but I would advise purchasers to inquire as to packing.
