12v Solar Panel Battery Charger

This is under the best sunlight conditions, the solar panel is rated at 1.8W and the battery pack is 300W. The solar panel reads that it is a "trickle charger". My question is how long it would take such solar panel to recharge a completely

Most batteries are designed for a 10 hour charge rate. In that sense 12 W is right for a 12 volt 10 ah battery. The catch is that the panels are usually specified for peak wattage. Since you can expect only about 6 hrs of sunlight even on a clear day

You are right , positive to positive then negative to negative keeps you on 12 volts. This is parallel connecting.
Use a wire diameter that is much the same as what you find on a car battery in a car.
