12v Solar Cells

From where i can purchase the solar cells? & i want to charge 4batteries of 12 volt batteries for my collage project i have limited fund please answer me as early as possible....

You would be best served by using the solar panel to charge up some NiCad batteries instead of directly connecting the panel to a boom box. (unless you need this for a demo on solar power)

The only way to not throw away more than half the power is to use a switching regulator.

There might be off-the-shelf 12V to 5V DC-DC converters, intended for use on motherboards. Certainly, there are 12V to 3.3V ones made.

Absolutley, just make sure you include diodes so your batteries don't drain through the panels at night, and make sure everything is watersealed for obvious reasons
