can i get the circuits for charging a 6 v lead acid battery using solar panel?

Just connect your solar cells in series to get a 7-8V. output.
Connect to the battery via a rectifer to prevent reverse current flow
in the absence of sufficient light to generate charging voltage.
You will have to check the...

how can i charge a 12 volt car battery(lead-acid)with a solar panel?

i don't have a solar panel yet so can you tell me what votage panel should i get.
do i need an inverter or something.

A solar panel for a 12V battery has 36 cells. This generates about 22V at low temperature and about 15V at 60C, just enough to have a series diode and charge a 12V lead acid battery. Note that it will stop charging if temperature is over 60C...

PS-640F 6 Volt 4.5 Amp Hour Sealed Lead Acid Battery
Power-Sonic

Batteries may be used in series and/or parallel to obtain choice of voltage and capacity
There is no need to add electrolyte, as gases generated during overcharge are recombined in a unique "oxygen cycle."
Power-Sonic batteries may be discharged over a temperature range of -40C to +60C

10 POINTS IF YOU ANSWER THIS QUESTION!!!!! WILL A 12V SOLAR PANEL CHARGE A SEALED LEAD ACID BATTERY?

will a 12v solar panel (the ones used to charge caravan batteries) charge my 2.9Ah 12v Sealed lead acid battery?

as i was planning to buy a 12v solar panel from either maplins or Ebay

the best answer explaining why i can

To fully charge a lead/acid battery, you would need a bit more than 12 Volt, usually 13.2 Volt.
Many Solar panels which are rated at nominal 12 Volt can deliver up to 14 Volt in direct sunshine, and at perfect angle to the sun.
So,...

How is the connection for a lead acid battery being charged and discharged ?

Following my question 'Can a lead acid battery be charged and discharged at the same time ?', answer being yes, how is the battery, motor and panel connection like ? I am building a solar tracker and the battery output powers a motor.

The charger and battery are connected in parallel, which means that the load draws power from both and any "unused" power would be used to charge the battery. This is exactly how the electrical equipment in a normal car works as well.

Can a lead acid battery be charged and discharged at the same time ?

I plan to build a solar tracker, can the battery be charged by the solar panel and at the same time discharge shortly at certain intervals to power a DC motor ?

The answer to your question is NO, a lead acid battery cannot be charged and discharged at the same time.

In the system you describe the 'status' or mode of the battery (i.e. charging or discharging) will be determined by the...

How Does Free Energy Storage? Lead Acid Battery versa Mechanical Battery?

Free Energy from Solar or Wind needs Energy storage. It is stored in Lead Acid Battery for decade to use at night.
Lead Acid Battery take-up huge space and producing toxic gas and it may replace by Mechanical Flywheel Battery.

And poh p, what about storing it in a rock? Like when it gets chilly at night and usually you reach out for the thermostat to kick the gas burning central heat system on, say instead you were already cozy, because you let the day's heat soak into...

  • Can We Build Tomorrow's Breakthroughs?

N a hangarlike building where General Electric once assembled steam turbines, a $100 million battery manufacturing facility is being constructed to make products using a chemistry never before commercialized on such a large scale. The sodium–metal halide batteries it will produce have been tested and optimized over the last few years by a team of materials scientists and engineers at GE's sprawling research center just a few miles away. Now some of the same researchers are responsible for reproducing those results in a production facility large enough to hold three and a half football fields.

The engineers have moved from the bucolic research center, which sits on a hill overlooking the Mohawk River, down to the manufacturing site, which abuts the river at the edge of Schenectady, New York, a working-class town known in its heyday as Electric City. There, they supervise the installation and testing of robotics, high-temperature kilns, and analytic equipment that will monitor the production process. The new batteries use an advanced ceramic as an electrolyte inside a sealed metal case containing nickel chloride and sodium; the technology promises to store three times as much energy as the lead-acid batteries used in data centers, in heavy-duty electric vehicles, and for backup power. But almost anything can go wrong. If, say, the particles that make up the ceramic are uneven in size or haven't been properly dried, battery performance could fall short. That means the conditions in the huge factory must be tightly controlled, and multi-ton devices must be able to match the exactness of lab equipment. "It's not for the weak of heart," says Michael Idelchik, GE's vice president of advanced technologies.

How do you figure the amount needed watts of solar panel and the ...

Add up all your electrical loads in watts. For example, say 100 watts.

Calculate how many hours of direct sun you will get per day, on average, worse case. For example 8.

Decide on how many hours the batteries need to supply power if the sun is not out, eg, on cloudy days, or several cloudy days. For example 24 hours.

Since you only have sun 1/3 of the day, you need 100 watts x3 or 300 watts of solar power.

But you need more to charge the batteries for cloudy days, so double that to 600 watts.

A large lead acid battery will store 1kW-hr of energy, or enough for 100 watts for 10 hours. Since our example has stored power for 24 hours, that is 2.4 batteries, say 3 batteries.
