Can i use Armasafe Plus battery with solar panel?

I have Armasafe Plus 12v 120 amp battery and it is AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt), it is use in military truck ,suv ,tanks etc.
Can i use this battery for back up and with solar panel.


It should work fine. You may need a charge controller depending on the size of your solar panel. You can probably use a panel up to about 5 watts without a charge controller.

Tex is right. You have to charge them up and then load test them.

The little handheld testers we used in the shop had a small heater coil in them that acted as the load then the meter calculated the voltage drop across it as it heated

Is this a safe solar / battery set up for my bedroom?

I have 35 watts from combined solar panels in my bedroom window. This goes into a charge controller (10 amp max) then connected to a 12 volt 40 AH AGM battery. I have a 400 watt inverter on top of that. I figure this is relatively safe considering...


what kind of battery is it? If it is lead-acid type, make sure it is a sealed marine battery. Otherwise you could be getting toxic gases from it.

Can i still apply a load to the battery bank while solar charging?

I haven't been able to find this information anywhere and need help. I have 3 12v AGM 100AH batteries connected in parallel to an inverter. To charge them, I have 90w worth of solar panels (w. 7A charge controller).

Navy dude, the solar panels can't be hurt by a drain, they just do the best that they can do trying to keep the batteries charged.

I don't believe that the inverter can be charged by low battery voltage either.
