you can charge the controller over usb but you cant use it on pc...you can buy a wireless adapter for 20-25 dollars at best buy

I've been trying to install it on my PC but it doest read it. When I do it on my laptop or friend's PC it does respond and it installs automatically but not on my pc. What do I have to do for my PC to recognize my The play and charge kit?

Just Install the Controlller's driver Manually.

When you open its box you should find a CD.. Thats its driver.

Install it, restart SHOULD 100% work.

If it didn't go Download its latest driver.

Just leave it plugged in. (the controller to the X-Box) wen the X-Box is off it should still charge. Red light indicating that it is, and green wen it if finished. that is my case with my kit.

yea mate you can, according to microsoft it will work either way, but you must leave it on at the plug obisouly :L if you get stuck follow this :)

This is probably the best feature of the play and charge kit. Turn on your 360, attach the charge kit to your controller, wait for the red indicator light to turn on, and then you can turn OFF your 360 and your controller will still charge. So...
