I am experimenting and I am considering getting a 30 Watt panel which puts out 1.8 Amps and I found an inexpensive charge controller rated for 5 Amps.
Will the 1.8 max output of the panel be too little for the 5 Amp charge...
You should not have a problem with this. The controller will disconnect the battery when it is fully charged and leave it disconnected until the battery voltage drops.

I'm building a solar panel, well i have built it and now im hooking it up to a 12V car battery to see if it is working ok. I have a 20 amp 12 V charge controller, i used a multimeter to check the volts coming from the solar panel when in the sun...
It is not good for the battery to be disconnected from the controller while the panels are putting out power to the controller. It is recommend not to do it.
Hooking an ac to dc converter into the wires to the battery can cause damage

Protects battery from overcharge and discharge
For use with 12 Volt solar panels and batteries only
I am charging a marine deep cycle battery ( 100 amp Hours )
I doubt as I think that is too little ampherage to worry about overcharging the battery.
Hopefully it has a built in blocking diode to prevent draining the battery back through the panel at night.

I recently bought a cabin with no power connection. I am planning on a 2000w generator--->charge controller--->RV Battery--->inverter. (I will add solar a bit later.) Seems sensible to add a battery, rather than having a generator running...
Charge controllers that are meant for Solar charging are significantly different to Battery Chargers meant to be used on AC. I suggest using an Automatic battery charger and adding a Solar charger controller at a later date.

I have four 12 volt batteries connected in series, and two 80 watt solar panels with a 12/24 volt 30 amp controller. What would be the most effective connections to charge the batteries?
Read the manual for your controller, which I assume is a charge controller. The better ones use a switch mode regulator so they operate over a wide range of input voltages and output voltages.
The manual should tell you what range...
I built a wind generator using a 180v 8 amp 1725 rpm pmdc motor where I have been able to achieve anywhere from 30 vdc to 120vdc unloaded depending on which rotor I am using.
the problem is when I am connected to the batteries I...
A good charge controller includes a DC-Dc converter which changes your output voltage to that best suitable for charging the battery. It's second purpose is to control the current to the battery to avoid overcharging it.
But you may...

Many New Audiophile Companies Target "One Percenter" Clients At CES 2012
When the lines for the elevators taking you to the top floors of the Venetian Hotel were packed 200 deep, I should have known something was up. What could be the draw on those "specialty audio" floors? Could it be a new tube amp technology ? Affordable, groundbreaking new audiophile speaker drivers? Somebody playing master tape from some label's archives? Sadly, in most of the rooms that I visited, this wasn't the case.
