solar charging a deep cycle battery?

I am looking to buy a 15 watt solar panel, a 7 amp charge controller, to charge my 105 amp hour deep cycle battery.

I am going to be running 2 fans that use .52 amps each for 7 hours for 3 days. How much will the solar panel charge...

Your battery will run down. You are using more electricity than you are replacing. Figure on at least a 45 watt solar panel per 12 volt deep cycle battery if you want to return the battery to full charge each day.

Solar Charge Controller 7 AMP 12 VOLT 100 WATTS

A Solar Charge Regulator aka Controller acts as voltage regulator allowing batteries to charge without overcharging. 7 amp hours at 12 volt = 12 ...

Setting up an extremly remote 3 part hybrid power system?

I'm in the planning stages. Nothing bought yet. This is a low budget system using common house tools. If needed I can rent. Town is 40 miles away. I'm really trying to avoid that.

The goal: set up a hybrid system using water, wind...

What Size Charge Controller for Generator--->RV Battery?

I recently bought a cabin with no power connection. I am planning on a 2000w generator--->charge controller--->RV Battery--->inverter. (I will add solar a bit later.) Seems sensible to add a battery, rather than having a generator running...

Charge controllers that are meant for Solar charging are significantly different to Battery Chargers meant to be used on AC. I suggest using an Automatic battery charger and adding a Solar charger controller at a later date.

I have 2 solar panels one is 15 watts 12 volts 1.2 amps or -
The other is 50 watts 12 volts 2.6 amps or-
Can I ...and what is the best way to hook them togeather to increase my amps being put back to my battery ?? I would be hooking

The answer is that the two panels should be put in parallel. The voltage out will drop to the voltage of the lower panel, but you should get most of the power, if the panels aren't too badly mismatched.

I would try to get a multimeter

Solar panel wattage for the solar isolation of my area?

Hi I live in Nova Scotia Canada on the southern tip to be exact and right now in sept we get about 5-7 hours of bright sunlight per day and I planned on trying solar power in my barn a total of 50 watts worth of light bulbs running 3 hours a day or

You are way ahead of me but I did find this website that might help with the solar isolation question .
It showed Yarmouth as light green which was 1000-1100 Photovoltaic potential (kWh/kW) .

How do I wire a 24V solar panel to a 12V battery bank?

I have a 24V 165W BP Solar Panel. I plan on using eight 12V 35 amp hour sealed golf cart batteries in parallel for my battery bank. I plan on purchasing a charge controller and an inverter for my system, but I am not sure which charge controller...

Most any charge controller will work as long as the input voltage is rated to handle the open circuit voltage of your panel, which may be in the 40V range. The solar panel's voltage will drop to match the load during charging; it just won't be as...

Really cheap quality. Included instructions don’t provide enough information. Website is just as un-informative. Cheap connector wires (low current), and is not equipped with screw-on terminal junctions.

Good: Product works as advertised. Amazinlgly “regulates” the voltage to the required amount so as not to overcharge the battery. Beware though, in order to test the actual output voltage, you must apply a load on the battery end of the controller BEFORE. Failing this, the output can register volts as high as 20 volts !!! Apparently applying an actual load causes the controller to output the correct voltage range – lucky me, cause I bought 4 units ! The LEDS alternately flickers (fast for good voltage input and slow for low to no voltage on solar panel). The manual did NOT state the order of LED flashes. (4) steady amber – possible no load OR really low voltage/current
